Please help, quick dizzy question
Hey everyone,
I just pulled my '89 CRX SI out of storage a few weeks ago and began having problems getting it to idle, and then eventually turn over. I've traced the problem to the spark... being that I had an old dizzy laying around, I tried simply swapping the two but ran into a slight problem. The plugs heading out to the PGM-FI are different, the old unit having 7 wires and a round connector, and the good unit having just 6 wires and a rectangular connector. Both are clear plastic, indicating, if I'm not mistaken, that they are both OBD0.
The bad unit is a TD-02U

The Good unit has no labeling at all

Can I repin the wires on the new unit going out, to the old units connector?
I'll be left with a spare wire it seems...
Thanks in advance, I'd love to get my rex on the road again.

If I'm not mistaken the square plug one is for DPFI set up. If I am correct, it is missing a sensor and cannot be used on your engine. The difference in wires between the round the plug and square plug should be two so double check (I thought the square plug had 5 wires and an empty slot).
