B18b1 0bd1 swap into my 98 hatch
I am picking up a B18b1 swap that comes with everything it came out of a 92-95civic,Has trans axels half and intermediate shafts, shift linkage this is all integra parts, integra mounts, and an Auto P72 B18c ecu this was in a five speed car. The harness on the motor is an obd1 so i need to know what all i need to put it in my 98 hatch. I dont think the mounts will work for me,probably need a distributor conversion harness, and the OBD2a-OBD1 conversion for the ecu right?. other than that will this all work please lmk
you need iron cast driver side mount from 99-00 civic SI
Rear transmission mount from civic si 99-00
reuse your top tranny mount and driver side engine mout
rewire alternator, injectors, and distributor.
get obd1 to obd2a jumper harness for ecu

rewire alternator, injectors, and distributor.
get obd1 to obd2a jumper harness for ecu
so the si mounts i couldnt reuse the integra mounts on the ls? and i gotta go FROM Obd1 -Obd2a? or the other way around i dont know what obd the ecu is just know its an automatic b18c P72
The P72 will work its just gonna throw a bunch of vtec CEL's,and as far as ppl i know i read up on i can use all my mounts just gotta use the si rear trans or torque mount, and the si driverside engine mount bracket and my stock mount for the car
everything else is correct.

just take the injector and alternator plugs off of the integra harness and wire them to your CURRENT obd2 harness. then do whatever you need to do about the distributor. the mounts/brackets that they told you are correct.
after this is done, if you want to use OBD1 and that LS OBD1 ECU, just use an OBD2a to OBD1 jumper harness. the Integra harness WILL NOT fit directly into your EJ/EK civic.

you cant use a integra harness, so throw it out.
you can use your stock civic harness youll just need to either buy jumper harnesses to go from obd2a to obd1, or re wire it to fit obd1 and then your going to need to get a obd2a to obd1 jumper for the ecu.
but this Auto P72 B18c ecu this was in a five speed car confuses me, i have never heard of a auto b18c, your better off getting a p28 ecu or something or gettng a stock obd2a integra ecu and no getting a jumper, if you did use the ecu, if its what you say it is, it WILL throw cels.

Ya i trying to see if anyone will trade me the gsr ecu for a ls ecu and i didnt know i could use the obd2a ls with the obd1 motor, also can i just cut a resplice some wires from the teg harness on the motor to work with my sohc harness, and i got everything else i need
The harnesses normally just plug right in, but due to the fact its obd1 it wont. Im sure there is threads about how to take care of this other then buying jumpers for the plugs

THIS IS WRONG ABOVE!!! Here is the link to a discussion post. ODB1 and odb2 harnesses are interchangeable. AS LONG AS YOU HAVE SI motor in your EK originally, NOT A SOHC, it will plug and play into the shock towers. you will only need an odb2a/b jumper to ODB1 ecu. plenty of stuff on the boards here. Do not cut your harness up.

Integra engine wiring harnesses, regardless of OBD are 2-piece design, similar to the OBD1 EG civic engine wiring harness. The only EK that has a 2-piece engine wiring harness is the SI. All other EK 96-00 civic have a 1-piece design engine wiring harness. Do your homework,
Read this before you try and tell me I'm wrong:

OP follow the link I posted, It gives a detailed write up on what you need to install a OBD1 engine into a OBD2a/b car.
