i know the ctr/itr are one of the best cams for any bseries turbo setup. i just got my hands on a set of skunk2 tuner1s for a nasty price those are pretty damn close to CTR specs would they be good for the application also??

setup is:
stock gsr turbo with skunk2 valvetrain,skunk2 IM,2.5" all the way to the muffler and most likely on crome until money for hondata

 

Sure, those cams will work just fine. BUT they won't do any good with that 2.5" exhaust system. put additional monies on that exhaust before getting any more management.

 

what kind of manifold also?

 

complete ebay turbo kit ... but soon to upgrade to a custom BMC race LOG manifold.

i would get some kind of tubular manifold. logs are decent but flow nothing like a mini ram or a ramhorn. and as mentioned before get rid of the 2.5 ex. go with 3in from turbo all the way back. will increase hp all around.

 

+1...the tuner 1 is a great cam to use for turbo b series. They can make more power at less boost with the right set up of course.

 

Sell me your GSR's for a nasty price, since you got those for such a good deal. LOL! But seriously..........

Haha cool. I figured that was the case but it was worth a try. For sure get a 3" exhaust! The log will be fine. I make 450whp on a rev hard log, plus the spool of a log is great

Unless your going to make upwards of 600whp the Pro1's aren't the ideal cams. Even then ITR/CTR can get the job done. The Pro's just put too much abuse on the rocker arms.

 

Oh yeah, a 50 trim? Keep the GS-R or ITR cams. Those Tuner1s do tend to wear components rather quickly.

*Edit 2021*.. Disregard this post. This thought process was based upon an experience with a bad batch of 400 sets that were released , and the issue was corrected within a few months with new sets.

7. RC 440 injectors
8. Prostreet electronic boost gauge "NIB"

and a bunch of other stuff... i had planned on boosting my ls vtec but changed my mind so PM if you would like to work out a trade for the cams

 

nah im keeping the tuner1s plus i got all the parts you got already just looking for a tubular ramhorn now and im boosting away
