B16a Dyno??? 12psi? 211hp!?
So heres the setup!
Tial 38mm Wastegate
Ebay Cast manifold
Tial Bov
880cc injectors
Walbro 225
spooling performance intercooler pipe. 2.25->2.5"
Precision 350hp intercooler
garrett t3 t4 60 trim .63
type r cams.
I went on the dyno, baseline was 211whp =( at 12psi Huh?!?
i dont know what happened?!
I ended up adding 6Degrees of timing from 5500-Redline [from 1* per psi retard]
Ended up with 246Whp 178Wtq.
Power falls off hard after 7700rpm!
and peaks about 7500rpm.
This was tuned on 91OCT.
From my research i should be close to 300whp give or take a few.
Any ideas of what is happening here?
How is it possible to baseline at 211whp on 12psi with 1* per psi boost retard.
Also to be noted, i was racing the night after and after a couple pulls, i lost a wastegate bolt!
Im not 100% sure if i had any wastegate / manifold leaks on the dyno, but i didnt hear any leak and the bolt was in.
PICS

Thanks guys!

Sounds like there was a major leak in it in the system by that wastegate or some other part of the system. Just because you can't physically hear it, doesn't mean it isn't there. from the looks of things, power seems to flux as though it is struggling to keep pressurization.
I had better results with the greddy turbo kit. Something is certainly wrong with respect to your setup. It could be something simple like a gasket between the manifold and turbo needs to be replaced. good luck.
def need to look into your timing maps, one cause the graph is so choppy and also look at how your power dips pretty hard at 6k rpm which you can see cleary on the map that it pulls timing pretty hard right at 6k and then it starts making good power at 7k which in the map has a good bit of timing added in there. the biggest problem is you have to keep tq up. tq and rpm = hp if your car is suffering to make a pull it will lack on the power and tq. so clean those timing maps up and make them smooth. if you look down a given row in example 10psi it should read the same timing for 6,7,8,9k rpm it shouldnt be fluctuating.
Ok when i was racing, one wastegate bolt to the manifold came slack and i could hear it leak.
maybe it was a little slack and leaking a little on the dyno and i didnt notice
idk

Don't get hung up on just the one OBVIOUS leak. look to others in the entire system, and if you're not a tuner, check with another competent tuner on the data you have to ensure that it is being utilized correctly with the right amount of spark timing and fuel.
You've got multiple things to do here. this will not be a magic bullet fix.

How do i check for boost leaks with soap and water?

thanks bro, you think its timing or boost leak or mechanical problem?
i am betting u dont have a dump tube? and if u do its very close ur ur turbo inlet. redo ur dump tube and route it under ur oilpan to see a big jump in power.
u can see your power is coming on strong pre wastegate opening but right around 5800rpms where most likely ur wasetgate is opening, the car falls on its face, dumping pure exhaust fumes back into ur turbo inlet.
btw smoothen out ur timing maps in vacuum. looks pretty bad

def a leak, timing is ok(smoothe it out though)
do a boost leak test, make sure there are no exhaust leaks either.
should have double checked it before you hit the dyno :\

Find a new tuner your graphs need to be as smooth as possible and on yours there are sharp rises and dips. I am not saying you dont have exhaust issues like others suggested but that tune is ****..
Also what is your ignition setup?
