swapping gears out??

would i be able to take the 3rd gear out of the p2a8(98-02 accord ex) tranny and put it in m2s4 trans???my 3rd is completly gone in the m2s4...or should i just comprimise shorter gears for p2a8 and swap it in

3rd and 4th have to be swapped as a set. They are on a common synchro hub. swap out the entire hub assy. Be sure to swap 3rd and 4th gears on both the mainshaft and countershaft
