4.7 swap 4,5 or 4.4 swap fd?
hey guys i'm trying to decide weather to go with the 98+ itr 4.7 fd tranny or the b16b/c5/96,97jdm itr 4.4 tranny
now i know the 4.7 itr tranny has the 4th and 5th gsr gears which i dont really want so would it be easier to swap the gears for the shorter 4th and 5th gears
or
just go with the 4.4 tranny and swap the final drive?

Re: 4.7 swap 4,5 or 4.4 swap fd?
so how does that make it harder to swap the 4th and 5th gears out of the jdm 4.7?
if i get the 98+jdm tranny with the jdm first gear and 4.7 would it be easier and cheaper to just change the 4th and 5th gear?
rather then getting the ctr or itr 4.4 trans and i'd just have to change to the mfactor fd?

Both will be the same difficulty as you should tear the trans completely apart to clean and inspect everything anyways. If you don't want to tear it down completely the FD is easier since you don't have to take the mainshaft apart. I prefer to use the standard US fitment when possible as replacement parts are easily available from your local Honda dealer or if at an event there will be a higher likelihood of finding spares should something need to be replaced.
