Ive owned multiple hondas including a 98 prelude and they have all burned about a qrt. every month.

-my new si 130k like a quart every 4 days......

When i hit vtec i get a little black smoke like normal i guess but im a little lost where its going. It blew a 180 comp test pretty much all the way across. I guess i got to do a leak down to check rings? Anyone had same problem valve seals goin maybe?

 

you dont have any other leaks? valvecover? rear main seal? or vtec solenoid?

 

Leakdown test will not indicate the condition of the oil control rings. FWIW

 

one advice.
DONT HIT VTEC

 

Thats alot of oil,

3 main things for leaks.

-something not sealing correctly, ( oil pan, oil pan drain, vtec solenoid,etc)
-Valve seals
-piston rings

 

can the vtec solenoid leak internally? =to much oil up in head or (vtec valves???) sumthin along that???

 

Even if it leaked like that, it would stay in the motor.
