what does having no VTEC have to do with burning oil?
If you're burning oil you probably have OTHER things wrong...

- valve seals?
- bad piston rings?

Exactly. One has nothing to do with the other. Driving without VTEC is fine. Driving while burning a **** ton of oil is not.
