Hard to tell. Does your car smoke? Do a compression test and go from there. Also are you leaking oil? Synthetic will start to leak in places that normally wouldn't have leaked before. Just depends but chances are it's rings or valve seals.

Don't feel bad, My car eats oil badly. I don't know if i had a problem , i have to look. But i did an oil change and 1000 miles later, i had to put in 4 qt of oil. My guy said that i am high compression so it eats it. WTF i know....

Popping V-tec?
Anyway, the only way you will know why you are burning oil is to do a compression and leakdown test. You say it's not leaking so the only way for you to lose oil is through the exhaust so it is burning it at sometime. Maybe you just don't notice the smoke.
