Lexans windows
Did a quick search with no results. Can lexan be set on top of the factory window, then both slowly heated in a large oven to form the shape? Obviously it'd be a little bit larger, but would the basic shape be the same and would it work?
Thanks

technically, yes. the "drape" temperature of polycarbonate (lexan is a name brand, technically, there are several others) is roughly 350 degrees... you can get factory tempered glass that hot, but not instantly. slow heat=no problem.
its very do-able, but you need absolute patience, a good heat gun ,and a big oven of some sort.

Def don't heat the glass to fast or you'll end up with more than one piece. The lexan is pretty flexible though. unless your doing it for the look its really not necessary.
Nobody said I NEED lexan. I want to lighten the car.
