Default new exhaust system

I just put a new pipe on my exhaust and took out the cat and resonator so my car is a bit loud. By a bit loud i mean acceleration is the equivelint of a bowing 747 taking off. Im looking for a muffler that will subsidize the loss of the res and cat and keep the noise level down because I dont want to draw attention to my POS rust bucket. Any suggestions?

the res was rusted through, thats why i took it out, im just looking to replace the muffler because its easier to get to and i dont have to do patch work to get something in line because it took about 2 hours just to get the pipe in

By deleting the cat converter and the resonator, you've severely cut down on the noise-cancelling part of your exhaust. Even if you put in a quiet muffler, lets say a WS2 or RS*R Exmag, its still gonna sound like crap. Uber-raspy and like a pissed off bee kind of crap. My suggestion is get a vibrant ultra-quiet resonator and then get a muffler. Or replace the straight pipe with a Megan resonated-test pipe. You've gotta have some sort of noise-cancelling in your exhaust system. That is unless don't like your hearing lol

Buy a magnaflow catalytic converter. Flow great and really tones down the weed wacker within.

cheapest way of making the car quiet and being legal.

...or you can get a job at the airport on the runway so you get those sweet earmuffs, just run straight pipe, and say f*** it

Only way is to put back on cat and res. Even with a stock exhaust it will sound ricer.
