Default Car overheating??

Ok, so I am trying to figure this out, there is no water in the oil. When I ride around the car stays cool, I actually take off in it real good and the car starts overheating and I shut the car off pop the hood and the overflow is filled and squirting water out of the top. I am wondering if the waterpump needs to be changed? I put maybe a quart of water in it and the radiator is full again. Car has a new thermostat and just been put together, has 650 miles on the build. This is getting irritating because I hate when I play with it I have to stop and put water in the car?? Does not smoke and does not skip. There are no check engine lights either. Car is a turbo'd LS/Vtec.

I thought if a head gasket popped it would smoke or skip or something at least?

if the radiator hose builts pressure fast (cylinder head needs to come off-more than likely warp)

i would check your cooling system first before anything. I hade a hole in the overflow, and it used to over heat like yours. I got a new one, than my car wus doing the same thing, I checked n checked m checked sum more, didn't find anything that could have been wrong. than I noticed that my radiator cap seal wus messed up, allowing pressure to be released, causing the over heating ( wusn't cooling the coolant properly). check your cap and for any small leaks in your radiator

-with a faulty radiator car fluid would come outta the cap or over flow as soon as it warms up
still you would not get a pressurize cooling system within 30 sec.

first and foremost ......you need to get a pressure test done on the cooling system and on the radiator cap,...fyi if you running a motor swap and have not changed the radiator to a dual core then you car will overheat due to the fact single core radiators can not efficiently cool down a dual cam motor under load the car will heat up ....

if this was done first then you would have found the B.H.G

I did go and have a pressure test done today that's how I found out the headgasket is blown, so I have already got one and am putting it on along with a new waterpump and timing belt. Should have the car going tomorrow. and also I have changed the radiator to work with the dual cam motor.
