I HAVE A D16 AND I HAVE A SHORT RAM INTAKE. I NOTICED THAT THE FILTER WAS WET ALONG WITH HALF OF MY ENGINE BAY. IT HAS A 161000 MILES ON IT AND EVERYTHING IS STOCK EXCEPT FOR THE INTAKE.

Is he really a mechanic? I never heard of a carb option on any Honda car engines since the 1980s. It says you have a 1997 Civic. Hmmm... just kinda funny.

But on a more sincere note, pull the plugs, crank it over a bit, and put some NGK plugs and wires in it, and make sure the cap and rotor are dry and in good shape.
