People who have done d15b7 to d16y7 swaps successfully please help
i searched and you guys have done the swap successfully using the odb1 harness, but the problem is i found out the crankshaft sensor from the engine (d16y7 obd2) is needed for my car to start. but the odb1 harness has no where for it to plug in, what did you guys do to make it work?
are you sure? because im getting spark, and have been doing research and people say i need it because we arent getting fuel into the sensors, like it primes but it isnt coming out the headers when i crank the engine over and i read that the crankshaft sensor controls that..
I bought a 97 with a D16y7 and the wires were cut for the crank sensor and car ran.
The OBD1 ECU is not looking for a crank sensor and if it does not need one then it wont stop the car from running.
Sounds more like a fuel problem.
