Icon2 92 civic hatchback vx (98 typeR swap)

I'm new to Honda-Tech. I have a 92 civic hatchback vx with a 94 GS-R engine in there right now. I just bought a 98 integra typeR spec-R(210hp) and getting ready to swap it in. My GS-R is obd1 and my typeR is obd2. What will I need for this swap?

Since your new and no one has posted yet, I'd recomend searching. Everyone will tell you that. Reason why is the topic has been covered a billion times over. However, AFAIK all you will need is the OBD1 distrubutor from the GSR. But I could be wrong or you need more.
But I'm sure you know the trans, axles, and shift linkage you have will work.
Just remember next time, search search search!

sorry it took so long for me the reply. I sold my gsr engine so I won't be using anything for my gsr. I still have all my wiring that connect to my cluster and ecu which is obd1. I don't have the gsr engine hardness no more because I give away with the engine. Now what would I need to do or get.

yo faq has cover this many times... u need b swap axles ob1 harness dizzy and ecu.. pretty much simple check FAQ!! its in there

Okay. I guess I have to buy a obd1 ecu for my type R. I was wondering if my catback that was on my GsR with fit on my type R.

Easiest thing to do is get a '97 - '99 USDM ITR harness, plugs into the OBD1 shock tower plugs and allows you to keep your OBD2 alternator, injectors and distributor, alternatively get a GS-R harness or an LS harness and add the vtec wiring.

okay. I just found of that my GSR that was in my hatch was a OBD2 and not a OBD1. That very good new. So does that mean I could just plug in everything for my ITR.?

Hey alan dont mean to thread jack but i'm in the same situation as you i have 92 hatchback cx that i just sold my swap out of and just purchased a 98 typeR swap. So i'm curious does anyone kno if there is a jumper that will alow me to plug in the obd2 typeR ecu in to my obd1 harness under the dash, or do i have to use another chipped ecu?

yeah. it kool. And yes there is a jumper that lets you used your obd2 ecu. I forgot the site for it though. I was just looking at it last week. Just google it: obd1 to obd2 conversion harness.

for my type R swap do I have to your used the 92-95 engine mount rear bracket or used the gsr engine mount rear bracket into my 92 civic hatchback vx.
