I have a fuel lab regulator with a aem rail. It would be easier on me to mount it on the end of the rail, as in have a coupler joining them two. Would the regulator get loose over time? Or should I just mount it on the body/firewall.
i wasnever a fan of hanging that much metal off of the end of the rail but thats my 2 cents.
i put my aeromotive reg on the firewall.

ive run an aeromotive on both the end or the rail and on the firewall and neither were a problem. its not like it weighs a ton. i personally would do the rail and make a bracket to thold the regulator even though its onthe rail for added safety and that will make sure it does get loose and or break off. i made a simple brace for mine when i ran it that way.

I have the fittings to either mount it on the rail or the firewall. I think I might try the rail and if it gives me any problems I will just mount it on the firewall.
IMO id go with the firewall just to reduce vibration that the motor may produces and absorb causing a less acuret reading/delivery possibly.

no, it will regulate fuel pressure regardless of where you place it
