GSR swap into eg coupe exhaust questions
Just bought eg with a fresh gsr swap, i have been reading and i have a few questions i can not seem to find a answer that i like or can find, if someone can link or answer it would be help.
1. GSR into the coupe i know to hook up a catback, there are a few ways to do this, since the gsr header is shorter, you need to get a extenton pipe and get a muffler shop to weld the flange to ur catback is this true ?
2. Will any exhaust like a 96-00 fit on a ex 95 ? besides chopping the pipe close to cat to add entention or all you gotta do is weld ? or will the hooks not fit or look really weird ?
3. Would it be worth just custom piping from a muffler shop with a skunk 2 muffler ?
4.Will i run into any problems as far as clearance, burning of the bumper ?
I need to figure this things out the car has no exhaust, so the CO2 smell is bad driving, any links to a build of a gsr on a coupe would help like no other in learning this bad boy
95 civic coupe gsr/lsd tranny auto to manual swap was done.

gsr is stock with the mani stock header without a heatsheild thats another thing i need to replace the header got a nice crack between the 2nd and 3rd outlet
Well, I can't be any help on this one then
, I have used aftermarket headers that were made to fit on a Gsr in my Sol and it bolted right up to my exhaust, and when I had the b16a swap in my Old EG hatch it bolted straight up to the catback. I'm guessing it would work but cannot say it as a definate.
Anybody else know a for sure answer?

My biggest thing is would a 96-00 exhaust fit a 95 or is there just clearance issues and it just be best to buy a 95 catback ? need this by saturday open header smells bad....
civic cats are apprx 16 inches and gsr's are apprx 18. The other issue is that the flanges don't line up. The gsr flanges are backwards from the civics! Since you don't have any exhaust at all I would get a nice aftermarket header and either a gsr test pipe or cat. Once those are in place it will bolt right up to a 95 exhaust. I believe that as far as coupes go 92-00 are very close to being the same. you may have to bend the hangers a little bit but shouldn't be a issue. I wouldn be driving on a open header your taking the chance of burning up your valves!

See thats what I thought changes wouls be a problem, I want aftermarket header but price is a issue that why I need a exhaust first open header is bad thing its at a buddy shop exhaust is my main issue right now
Any updates on the exhaust. I need to pass emissions here in Japan and I need a temporary exhaust, not looking to do any welding or anything of that sort.
