anyone running them yet?
im looking to get a little more serious on my racing this year and to do that i need to not be fearing snapping an axle when im 2 hours from home at the track...
ive seen good and bad with DSS i have had a great experience buying from mfactory before (gears) and think they make good products.
mfactory axles are "conservatively" rated to 400hp and are 699
DSS 2.9's are 475 hp and 799
my car is a max 220whp/150tq b series with a USDM gsr transmission with the addition of a 4.9FD and 3.07 first gear, and will possibly be running 22" slicks, otherwise i will be on street tires. i also understand that all motor cars break axles easier (true?) due to more occurrence of dead hooking.
so any input would be appreciated before i drop the cash!

In your case I would actually recommend that you just keep a spare set of stock axles and just preload your launch. Everyone I know runs stock axles and most dont preload with no problems so you can put that money to better use.

i run at etown and island...neither of the two friendliest places to leave stuff lying around.

I've had my 2.9's for over 4yrs on 600+hp and have only had a boot tear on me. I contacted DSS, gave them my receipt and they gave me a claim#. Within a week I had fresh axles back at my house.
Great customer service!

mfactory makes some great stuff but when it comes to axles you just cant go wrong with DSS.. Frank@DSS has gone further to help me than he ever needed to and for that i will always take my business to him..
