need help with vtec

Default need help with vtec

currently mini meing my 99 civic dx with a z6 head i have the diagram for the dizzy just need to know how to wire vtec to the ecu? i will be running a p2p ecu any information will help!!!

so i would use b-12 and c-10 correct and if so what color wires to where? sorry ive never pinned in vtec? also where would i find the pieces to pin it in sorry for the ignorence the more information the better. the picture is very helpful though

The color of the wire doesnt matter if youre gonna hardwire VTEC in. Hit up the junk yard and cut off the ECU connector from any civic, I think the dash pins for the gauge cluster will work too. Ive used pins from a radio harness before. Make sure you cut and solder. No butt connectors please.

Yes you will need to wire up the knock sensor, The P2P ECU will look for it and will throw a code if it isnt wired up, Also youll be in limp mode.

Some people say you need a shielded wire for the knock sensor incase of false signals, But to be honest i never have, Ive always just used a regular wire and havent had any problems.

Also your y7 motor should have the threads on the back of the block for the knock sensor, Id try and find a used ones, They arent cheap new.
