I put a 00 d16y8 in my 96 civic and seems like it aint getting fuel please help confussed

 

i drove the 00 home it ran before i pulled it i kept everything obd2a

 

Check the main relay.

this is my first swap im learning as i go

 

Fuel, spark, electricity.

Fuel
Check to see that your fuel pump is priming, by listening near your backseat when the key is turned to the "ON" position. You should hear the whirring of the pump. If not, you have a bad fuel pump, or a fuse is blown. Check fuses.

Pull out an injector from the fuel rail, see if fuel is getting there. If not, then either you have a leak, a bad pump, or a clogged fuel filter.

Spark
Ensure that you're getting spark by pulling out a spark plug wire from the spark plug chamber, and see if you're seeing spark when starting. If not, you may have an ignition problem (distributor), or an ECU problem. Check fuses.

Also ensure that all your grounds are on, especially the thermostat ground.

Electricity
Is your car showing any signs of a dead battery, or continuity issues?

Check your harness to see physically if there is any frays, cuts, or plugs/sensors that are not connected.

Make sure that your main relay is plugged in, if you can swap it with a friend who's car is operational, it may show you whether it is good/bad/indifferent.

fuel pump works,its firing,but idont know what relay your talking about if i spray starting fluid it fires just wont run

so ur getting fuel into your engine but the car wont start? is it trying to crank over or is it silent when u try to crank like a dead battery?

 

is there gas?!

 

ok so i have a simler promblem ma car wont pass fuel to the motor cuz it goes to filter and rail but not threw da injectors with ma friends ecu. and well my ecu "p2p" wont turn da pump on or give spark but wen i connect my friends ecu frm a y5 da pump goes on and ders spark...
i need help

 

no what he is saying is if he sprays fuel in the intake the car runs which means he has spark but his injectors are not firing. I need help with this as well as I am in the same position.
