Icon6 Creaking When I Turn?? HELP!!!

So I had Upper Ball Joints installed in aug of 09'. i have a creak in my stearing or suspension when i turn at a low speed like pulling out of a drive way or at a stop light and dry steering and does not do it when the tires are off the ground or at high speed turns. i have a 92 DX hatchy. my cv boots are not torn from what i can. what could be the culprit!!?? anyone have any ideas at all. i dont want my axle or joints to fail on the highway. what can i do?

I'd guess it's the ball joints. Are the boots ripped? Are they greased?

My eg sounded like a creaking, wooden ship when my ball joint boots were ripped and not greased. I replaced all four of them and the creaking went away.

howmuch did that cost? and all my boots are good from what i can see ... and maybe the ball joints. but when im looking and listening it sounds like its from the cv boots. but everything else is around the boot as well so it could be anything what can i do to narrow it down? thanks man

Ball joints are like $25 a piece. I was asking if the ball joint boots were ripped btw.

I've never heard an axle creak, just click. If they're not clicking I doubt that they are creaking.

It's probably something with the upper control arm. I have the same problem with my car right now and I'm pretty sure it's coming from there on my car. Did you buy cheap ball joints when you replaced them? Maybe they are going bad already. Or maybe the bushings in the arm itself are going bad. That is where I would look first.

bushings on lower control arm did it to me.. even when I was coming to a stop. plus bushings are making car unstable on freeway. check it out, they might be torn. control arms, poss sway bar
