Can a throttle body have negative effects if it is too big?

 

Damn, I think my throttle body and intake manifold will fit inside that sucker!

 

yes just like the intake, and exhaust
if it is too big it will kill low end performance.

and i want one
ill have to get one when i get my JG manifold

Wouldn't happen to know how big is just enough for a d16y8 would you?

 

hehe too many variables
like exhaust size, intake size, intake manifold, etc etc.

if you dont have an upgraded intake manifold its a waste of money IMO

 

But the TB doesn't really give hp gains anyway right? It's more for a quicker response? I mean I would guess it would give you an hp gain if it was bottle-necking your system, but not under normal circumstances, correct?

I picked it up in socal from there distributor myself so I am not to worryed about it
