I am having some problems with my B16A CRX. This has been happening intermittently for the past few weeks and now the car is dead in the water.

I suspect that the fuel pump as died on me. A few weeks ago, I had let the car sit a few days without starting it. When I go to start it, it just cranks and cranks, so I check timing and spark and they are both fine. Now I undo the fuel line and there is no pressure. I put it all back together, try to start it a few more times, and it starts up just fine.

A few weeks go by and it won't start after going into a store. Again, I just keep cycling the key and it finally starts, no problem.

The past 4 days, the problem has been getting worse right up until Saturday when the car will not pump any fuel at all. I checked the main relay per the Honda manual and everything is getting voltage as it should and the pump is even making a sound, but no fuel.

Has anyone ever seen this happen in a CRX or Honda where the fuel pump at least tries to prime but does not pump any fuel?

 

Has the fuel pump every been changed on your crx? Most likely your pump is going bad and will need to be replaced. Since all the other items(main relay,spark) you have checked are working fine.

 

As far as I know, the fuel pump is still the stock pump. I have ordered a walbro so hopefully that will fix my problem.

Let me know if anyone has had a problem similar to this and let me know what to look for if it is not the fuel pump.

 

HEY Check your injector wiring. i had this as a problem i have b18c1 in my car and they guy did my swap did a **** job at connecting the injector wire. give that a go
