-Replace the gasket with the screen.
-Put some high temp gasket maker and bolt everything to spec. I cant find the torque lbs for the vtec solenoid, but it has to be between 7-10lbs. They're little 10mm bolts.

you need to replace the solenoid gasket. the bolt will absolutely break if you put to much pressure. two of my solenoid bolts broke when i put it back on and i wasnt even using to much torque so be really carefull and make sure you dont cross thread the bolt when putting it back on

The vtec solenoid bolts should be treated the same way as the valve cover nuts. basically get them "hand tight", once they're snug, let them be. The pressure of the gasket will do its job.

What engine?

EDIT: Roughly around $15-20...thats dealer price. i've had to get one before but i dont remember if i got it from the dealer or a local parts store. I do know that Napa had no clue what a "vtec solenoid gasket" was, though.

also check your dizzy o-ring and cam plug(if you have the dohc). these are famous for the small oil leak around the dizzy and trans area!

Alright well that price range is the for z6...dont both with the distributor O ring. on an SOHC, its easier to tell which one is leaking. DOHC's are located right next to each other about an inch apart.

Torque spec for VTEC solenoid is 12 NM. (8.7 ft lbs). Any more will snap them.
