rack and pinion
whats the difference in the rack and pinions on a 92 civic and 97 civic. i'm wanting to swap a 92 civic manual rack into my 97 civic for a h22a swap. then i'm going to swap the power steering back over to the 92 civic. will the racks bolt up? the part numbers between years are different. meaning the manual racks have diff part numbers and the power racks have diff part number between the two years.
has anybody done this?

if you want a manual rack get a dx rack, some of those were manual. or you can rebuild yours with manual parts. cap the fluid ends after filling up the rack with fluid.
i have a manual rack in my car and im yanking it out to rebuild it with a power steering rack and pinion (tighter tolerances) or getting the Qualife rack n pinion (road racing)

what ever will make it easier to steer with no power steering. the car that has the h22a now has the lines capped and it is a mother to steer. weather your moving or sitting still its hard to steer.
true. manual rack realy sux. but i dont regret it. i have more control then the car does with it. and it will be even better when i have a quick ratio rack n pinion www.jhpusa.com has them for sale

Actually you can make an EK 3.2 turn lock to lock with OEM parts.
