I just installed my wideband and watched it as I drove and my ratio varies from 14.2 to around 15.2 basically the whole time under a very small load, basically just driving.
When I do a pull it goes into the 13 range.
I have been reading that 14.7 is what you want to aim for, but on my wideband that reads yellow on the bar.
I'm saving up for tuning software or a tune and will be getting a tune by may or in that month.
I think I am safe to drive it but just wanted to make sure.
The setup is just an ls vtec with p30 pistons, skunk2 intake manifold and a stock b16 head.
I drive about 200 miles a week
Thanks for any input

It's a pretty simple setup.
The Block has:
*P30 Pistons
*Honda piston rings
*Shotpeened ls rods
*ARP rod bolts
*ACL Bearings
Head just has b17 cams which are close to b16 cams
*Skunk2 intake manifold
*Stock b series head
Everything else is basically stock

I read this a lot doing research
"Any mixture less than 14.7 to 1 is considered to be a rich mixture, any more than 14.7 to 1 is a lean mixture"
I also read on a site that NA races have their air to fuel ratios set around 14 to 15 because they swap out motors, yet I read 14.7 is what you want to aim for? Maybe they are implying that they have that mixture at WOT?
Thanks for the quick replies by the way lyncoors
My friend got a tune for his ls vtec and at WOT, his AFR was at 12.4. Mine has entered the 12 range on pulls but is generally in the low 13 range

Yeah, I'm gonna try and keep driving to a minimal just in case lol. I wish it was running a little rich compared to a tad lean once in a while, but I guess 15.2 is barely over 14.7.
thanks for the help man!
