Default Going all motor, I need header/exhaust advice for DB8

Hi guys, im going from boost to all motor, so im looking for a new exhaust. I currently have a 3inch exhaust but im guessing thats to big for an all motor gsr. i have a 4 door so options are limited inless i go with a custom set up.

My motor is a stock b18c1 w/ a skunk intake manifold. I already have CTR cams and skunk2 cam gears that I plan to install soon. For intake i am thinking i'll go with aem cai.

I already have a Comptech 4-2-1 header sitting in my room, just not sure if i should use it or go with something else.

SO basically i need some advice on which exhaust/header set up i should run.

thanks

Cool thanks for replying

im thinking of going with apexi exhaust since i think the other option is either custom or greddy which will be more expensive. I will have to look into that hi flow cat, but doesnt that header have a 2.5 inch collector?

Btw, do u have any dyno numbers to share with me?

Its not too big. It is a little bigger than you need, but it won't hurt you. The important part of the exhaust is through to the last merge collector; after that, its all about the least back pressure possible.

Best of luck with your build.

A lilttle big? Haha i thought 2.5 was considered big for all motor and im not gonna even touch the bottom, atleast not yet. Just ctr cams, s2 im and bolt ons for now. I already have some parts i can use from my turbo set up like, Aem fpr, wideband, and hondata s200. Keeping my exhaust would save me a nice chunk of cash to but i just wanna do it right

so i wouldnt see any performance loss with to big of an exhaust?

If you get it tuned you will make more power than a 2.5" exhaust.

Rmf replica headers, Apexi world sport 2 exhaust, and a high flow cat is my set up. all 2.5" pipeing
3" is too big, my car was also turbo and i went with a all motor setup to try something new and im loving it

im still unsure

I know that you wanna have all the exhaust fumes leave as quick as possible and with a 3inch it will take longer

but i also hear that it really doesnt matter much after the collector

I see what you are getting at here. Velocity isn't an issue with exhaust size post header. It's all about back pressure, less is more.

3 inch is not too big i wish people would stop selling that myth.

also, the world sport muffler is pretty much the most restrictive one available, so stay the hell away from it
