Default brake hose replacement

My brake hose got a little tear in the rubber. I tried putting some silicone to patch it up temporarily but the fluid keeps seaping through. Is it easy to replace just the hose? Heres a pic of where the tear is.(not my car, just to show where the tear is) Or can I just replace this one section of the hose?

Hella easy to replace. You just gotta rebleed your brakes thoroughly.

You can just replace that one little section. Get a 10mm open wrench and do work.

I agree. Hose is fairly cheap ($20?), just remember to thoroughly bleed your brakes to get all the air out, as Jason already pointed out. Silicone won't stop it from leaking-too high of pressure. Plus, remember that if it just fails, you have no braking. Good luck!!

yes, use a 10mm flare wrench to avoid stripping (or rounding) during removal & install

There's a clip holding both lines there.
You're smart, you can figure it out.
