I have a 93 hatch with a b16 turbo swap and my speedo gets stuck at 20MPH it happens before the car is even cranked over as soon as i turn the key over it jumps to 20. I was told it is either the speed sensor or the cluster its self. Which should I go about fixing first. If i do look for a VSS does it need to be a b16 specific or will any eg speed sensor work. Any help would really be appreciated. I would really like to get this problem fixed soon and need some help. Also how hard is it to fix a VSS, does it just bolt on and off because i was looking at some to buy on line and it looks like there is more to it than that? Again thanks for any help!

 

if you have a buddy with a cluster test a different cluster first. then if that cluster also doesnt work then its for sure your speed sensor. or check into distributor wiring.
