Default swapping rods and cranks gsr ls etc..

trying to get some information here. i just spun a bearing in my gsr. i ordered a bunch of crap to boost it but i dunno if i'm going too.

anyways, my question is, is there a diffrence between gsr and ls rods? are they interchangable? i hear you can use the LS crank and it has a longer stroke than the gsr and creates a little bit of a stroker? would this perform ok with type R pistons and would you be able to use them? i also read that the type r pistons bumped up the compression..

basically i'm wanting to know what is and isn't usable. i'm trying to put this back together on a budget and will prob. buy used rods

also, are the b16 and gsr rods the same?

wheres all the techs? i bought a ls crank and ls rods, and i'm going to use my original pistons and rings just to put this thing back together. my question now is, the piston is going to move farther up and down in the cylinder. does this mean it needs honed again, or possibly bored?

ls crank and rods in a gsr, you would have to remove the oil squirters and i believe your compression would be bumped up.

i'm gonna try to bend the squirters out of the way, i have read you can do that as well. i already bought the LS crank and rods , i just gotta know for sure if i can use the gsr pistons, and also need to know if i'm gonna have to hone the cylinders or not. i'm going to stick with the rings i already have and pistons, the motor has been rebuilt already, i dunno how long ago it was that way when i got it, i can see numbers engraved on the rods and hone marks on the cylinders.
