Hi everyone. I am new to the Honda scene in the Bay Area but not new to the import scene. I was wondering where all the reputable shops are in the area? Looking to have some motor work done like maybe a rebuild. I have checked out Weksos, and ASP so far. I need some advice on which pistons to go with on my B18c1 for a daily driver. So far I have heard that CTR 12:1 pistons with a ported head, and Skunk2 stage 1 cams is a good solid setup. Thoughts????

 

12:1 PCT (CTR) pistons are going too high for a pump gas DD. PR3 or P73 pistons will put you at a much more DD friendly 11.3-11.4:1 even that is getting a little high IMHO. Either Skunk2 stage one is a good street cam. The tuner 1's you can keep stock idle as the low profile is very close to stock, PRO 1's are also very streetable but valve spring upgade is a must.
