i have a 96 honda civic dx d16y7 im trying to install a aftermarket tach. the instructions say to attach one of the wires to my coil wire on the distributor cap but there is no wire going into the cap. is there anywhere else the wire can b attached. plz help

 

The wire on the aftermarket tach is green right? You take the green one and properly splice it into the blue wire in connector C pin 8 on the back of the instrument cluster.

 

there's a blue wire on the driver side shock tower all by itself. thats tach signal. you can tap into that.

 

^what if all those wires along the shock towers are now under your dash? lol

 

Haha did you do a wire tuck then?

 

access the blue wire where it goes into the cluster, install will be cleaner than running a wire from the engine bay imo.
