will itr rods and pistons fit in a b16a (cable)
i have a 91 crx si w/b16a1, (cable), i am getting a good deal on itr rods and pistons w/rings and pins, i was wondering if they will work fine.
all b series pistons are interchangeable, same diameter except for B20...displacement is computed by bore x stroke...same bore different stroke. LS motor has more stroke, more torque...B16, B18C1/C5 less stroke, higher rev, higher comp pistons = more power
Rods won't work unless you change ALOT.
Keep the B16a rods, the Type R's are no stonger, just a little longer.
B16a's with ITR pistons make about 11.0:1 compression and are VERY fun compared to the 10.2:1 stockers. Expect 10 HP or more once it's tuned.

Just for info's sake ...the ls Has 127ft/lbs the the GRS has 128 and the R has 129
, but the LS does make its peak torque earlier than both the Ls makes it at 5200 the Grs @6200 and the R @ 7500 .

the pistons will work, make sure they are the same size bore. the rods will NOT work, they are longer, which means the pistons will hit the cylinder head.
