Heater STILL not blowing hot.
I've checked the valve by the firewall to make sure it's pushed all the way towards the firewall, it is. I've checked the one under the dash by the pass. footwell and it's all the back signifying that it's open. I've replaced my thermostat with a brand new OEM one from Honda along with Honda's coolant.
What the hell could be going on. None of the plastics on on the climate control are broken or anything. I've bled the system and it still only gets like luke warm unless I let my car idle for like 20 minutes and let the thermostat open once or twice or drive a long distance. I'm stumped

Any other ideas?
hey man i've been in the same boat for awhile. same exact problems. luke warm for a minute or two then i have to turn off my heater again for awhile. keep me posted.
I guess my best answer for you would be is this:Are both your heater core hoses getting decently hot?..if not your core could most likely be clogged or you have trapped air in the core.If both are hot your blend door may be stuck or inoperative.
ALSO I have seen here at my dealer that some of the older water valves may look ok on the outside,BUT the plastic arm has separated from the ball valve on the inside making it APPEAR that the valve is ok,but it is actually shut..You see what I'm saying?
By feeling the hose after the valve you can get an idea of the valve is actually shut or not.
GLWYF..
well i had 2 efs that didnt have heat cause there were mouse nests in the ducting... but i guess if ur blowing luke warm thats probably not the problem cause with a mouse next it wouldnt blow anything... and im pretty sure he is talknig about the blend door by the pass. footwell
Umm...which infamous valve are you talking about?..I've been a tech for a while now and as far as I know coolant only has to pass through the water valve then it goes to the heater core. There's nothing in between that I know of.Are you maybe talking about the blend door actuator?

I'll definitally see if both hoses are getting hot tomorrow when I drive to school and see what's up with it. Then I'll go from there. I just hate this process of elimination crap loll.
just fyi its normal not to heat up quickly once you turn it on...it must run for a decent while and then the puppy will start to heat up...its been like that in all 3 of my ed3 sedans throughout the years...could be just because its a old system and from all the wear and tear throughout the years of use...!!!
