I'd go as far to say that a fresh OEM ITR spring/shock combo will handle just as well, or better, then Tein Basics.
You have a car that handles fantastic (unlike a 94 LS). Why do you want to make it worse?
i had koni yellows/gc sleeves on my 99 si and it was nice to have all the adjustability but i didnt like the ride on the street it seemed a little too stiff for my likeing, plus im no suspention guru and this car is a dd for me so i dont really have the need to mess with the settings at all.my itr stock shocks need to be replaced and i loved how my tein basic setup felt on the street so from my experiance im going with them.if it makes me a black sheep then so be it but i dont do any track time or auto-x anymore so i think that this setup will do me just fine.as far as making the car handle worse than stock i highley doubt that.the stock setup is great but its not just the bilsteins/itr springs that give it the handling it has,the sway bars, and chasis stiffening makes the itr a great handleing car i think.to each there own

To answer your question. You are looking for a soft setup and do not care if it helps your cars handling. IMO you bought the wrong car for this, but just get the Teins anyway. The suck at everything but they are soft and you will get one of those Dampchi dolls to hang off your tow hook too.

i know the itr is performance oriented thats why i bought it i just dont see the need to have an fully adjustable setup when i wouldnt use it except on the track.you guys act like it wont handle at all with teins.im basing my decision on personal experiance with both setups and i hands down will go with tein.everyone is entiteled to there opinions but i didnt create this thread for that i simply asked if they made the tein basic for the itr and if not would the gsr/ls ones fit on the itr.there is a poll already on what everyones opinion is between the different setups, this isnt it

no the ls/gsr coilovers wont fit on an ITR. The ITR rear lower control arms are different. But since you dont care about performance you could always downgrade to an LS/GSR rear lower control arm. JK
its just a dd for me i on occasion like to drive the mountains aggressivly but other than that point a to point b.i dont auto-x or track anymore.i want it dropped slightly but not slammed.if they dont make the tein basic for the itr then my 2nd chioce will be koni/gc like all the other cool kids on here

then why dont you get a set of GC/Koni Yellows? i DD my 97 ITR and it rides fine! easily adjustable and good ride quality. you said you had them before and didnt like them. thats REALLY hard to beleive. ive never heard of anyone disliking GC/Koni Yellow set ups!
sure there are better set ups out there, but tein basics would not be one of the better set ups!
