Default b20vtec tuning options

Will be putting my DD b20vtec together soon and am looking into tuning options for it.
What otions do i have when tuning my car for reliability? There are no tuning shops around the area and driving to one is out of the question right now.

Im not looking to extract all the hp i can get out of my motor right now(stock gsr head)

would chipping my ecu with a phearable chip and using a fuel controller and wideband to starighten out my afr be very effective?

somebody noooob me plz

I would recommend using Neptune RTP. You will need a wide band O2 to tune it properly.

If you absolutely do not want to tune it yourself, then talk to Phearable about your set-up and have them burn you a chip.

If you get the phearable chip, you shouldn't need a fuel controller. Besides, they cost almost as much as a used Neptune anyway.

You are very welcome. It was the system I learned on (first I tuned completely by myself) and I was very happy with it. It generates excellent base maps, has a simple interface and the tech support is great.

If you decide to tune it yourself, download the manual for the AEM programmable system and read the sections with general tuning information. They are very helpful.

Try this link: http://fordfuelinjection.com/files/A...asics_V1.3.pdf

Best of luck with your project.

You could simply use a chipped ecu & pay an experienced dyno tuner to tune the car for you. A basic all motor setup like yours doesn't need a programable engine management system if your on a budget.

i would but there are no tuners in my area id think it would be more cost effective to buy the rtp hotel+gas+food+trailer+cost for tune and dyno time ooouuuccchhh
