I have a 1985 honda crx that has a over heating problem........ I have replaced everything I can think of ive replaced the water pump the thermostat ive had the radiator flushed ive changed the hoses and the radiator as well And I still cant figure out the problem......I also have no heat in the car if that could be part of the problem as well....help would be much appreciated im going to go change the HG today hopefully that will fix it but help would be appreciated and input as well

 

Are you losing coolant? Does the fan kick on when it should? Have you checked to make sure the thermostat is opening correctly?

 

im not loosing any coolant and the fan is routed to stay on contantly I had to wire it to a switch because they idiot i bought it from had it routed straight to the battery....the thermostat is brand new and everything

 

Are your upper and lower radiator hoses hot and about the same temp?

 

Do you have to bleed the system of air like on the second generation Crx's? Good Luck

 

mabey your heater core/hoses are clogged
