How much it cost to do an H22 swap on the 02 Accord ?
And what else do you need besides the engine ? Do you have to buy a new tranny to go with it too or you can just use the Accord tranny ? How much for the H22 engine itself ? Mines an auto by the way, im just trying to make it more enjoyable since its my DD.

There's some info there man, more about actually swapping it rather than pricing but it should help.

Well most of those cost items you can figure out yourself.
Roughly speaking it's $3000 parts alone and probably $1500-2000 for labor if you're paying someone to do it.
You also need to read very carefully all the maintenance items required for it to keep the warranty from the reseller, it is above and beyond just changing the fluids and turning the key.

while you can use the accord transmission, the motor will drop out of v-tec between gear changes cause the accord trans is wide ratio compared to close ratio of h2X trans
things I would do if I was going to do the swap
1. change all seals and gaskets like front and rear seals, tube seals, valve cover gaslet, balance shaft seal, etc
2. change timing belt
3. but a header on it

I haven't done the 98-02 yet, but I charge $500 for the 90-95. I use the JDM P13 and none of my swaps throw EGR codes or any codes at all for that matter. I don't do the 96-97 because OBDII Emissions computers can't read JDM ECUs (I run an emissions shop as well, so all my swaps must be able to pass emissionsl).
If shops really charge that much, it makes me want to consider raising prices a bit.

^ yes many times but considering the price difference between a V6 and I4 versus the cost of a swap, I went V6

- timing belt
- water pump
- balance shaft seals
- head gasket
- clutch/flywheel
- header/exhaust work (welding and what not)
- fluids
- wiring
etc
Yeah, mine was an OBDII car so we down-converted (I helped with wiring) and did the chipped ECU. My state doesn't require emissions testing.
