CIVIC SI WONT START IN THE MORNING************
i have a 2000 civic si that would not start in the mornings only. i checked out the battery at autozone and it was ok. i even tried hooking up the booster cables with another car and it still wouldnt start. The only way i could start it is pushed and then it would run and start fine the rest of the day. I replaced the starter, did a tune up, everything seems to be connected properly. its a freak of japanese nature. ne ideas???
what it does when i try to start it is like an electric noise, it doesnt click or turn over.
BTW i have an alarm system but its connected properly so iono.

i never thought of the temperature messing with the starter switch, ill keep that in mind. also the clutch/starter switch ill have to look into that. i havent checked that.
dude apperantly its the flywheel that was messed up. according to my mechanic. i doubt it because if it was that shouldnt it mess up at all times im trying to start it, instead of just when its off for over 4 hours like overnight.? iono, im guessing he's the pro here but im doubtfull.
I'd be skeptical of the flywheel too unless it's warped or missing a lot of teeth. I'd be more wary of the input shaft on the starter being stripped or something. I dunno if there's an inspection cover on the trans that you can look in on the flywheel. How did he arrive at that diagnosis?
