Default Startup problem - starts then dies?

Hello,

My 95 integra yesterday did something very odd: it would start, cold idle for a few seconds, then die. I tried the ignition again and it once again did the same thing. I opened the throttle slightly and tried for a 3rd time and it started OK. Today it started and then the RPM's dropped sharply, but it "caught" the drop and then returned to normal idle.

Any ideas what it could be? I've replaced the distributor, wires, spark plugs, fuel pump, starter, and main fuel relay all recently, so I'm not really sure what could cause it. The battery in the car is OK and it has no trouble whatsoever "turning over".

It has been very cold (sub freezing) and then went above freezing yesterday if that matters. Unfortunately because it is sporadic I'm not 100% sure it is possible to identify the problem exactly though.

Thanks,

Sean

From reading other posts it may be the main fuel relay or an ignition contact switch problem.
