i will be boosting soon and want to know if i can stay with my 2.5 inch exhaust for the stealth look and put an electric cutout on my 3 inch downpipe...has anyone done this before? thanks!

I'm running exactly the same thing. 3 inch downpipe with the E cutout to a 2.5 inch exhaust.

 

any videos? are they any pros and cons to just going 3 inch all the way back? thanks for your reply... im trying to boost but in a budget...

No videos yet. Car is still in storage waiting of the snow to melt so I can go get it retune. PRO: Love the quietnesss when the cutout is close. CON: Power isn't alway there like you would on a full 3" catback. You'll have to open the cutout.

 

but the con is easily resolved by leaving the cutout open all the time right? youll just be really loud...whats a good brand i was looking at QTP and DMH i think its called...

 

Yeah, you can leave it open at all time if you don't mind the loudness. But I'm running a DHM e-cutout.

 

sweet! when u get a change try and make a video of your car and then open the cutout...

 

Not an E cutout; I take it off at the track.

anti-lag sounds so much cooler with no exhaust. you get that loud 12 gauge sound that surprises everyone around you. mine is a daily driver with a downpipe and short turn-down. no exhaust. it's not really that loud until you get in between buildings... hee hee hee...

i have a qtp electric one if you want to buy i took it off my boys evo and i have it laying around!

 

3 inch? if so how much shipped to 33014...you have the Y pipe and electric motor?

 

no i dont have the y pipe anymore but i do have the motor the flange a stainless turndown bolted to it and the wiring and the switch that you can progressivly control and it is a 3 inch give me $110 shipped
