Default Maaco Paint Questions

First of all, I am going to get a Maaco job no matter what people here say. I am doing all the body work, and then the car will sprayed in black sealer. So here are my questions:

- Should I remove all the panels i can? Will they charge me extra for this?

- I am getting the single stage in a gloss black, after they paint it can I wet sand and then buff the car like a base coat clearcoat paintjob?

If someone has a car that was painted black at Maaco please post some pictures, and any help will be greatly appreciated.

I feel ya on the haters. If you hate on people taking their car to Maaco then give them the money to take it somewhere else.
Inrelation to your question...I personally would not wet sand and buff the car.

well good deal, i can do the body work myself. Im just getting a cheap paintjob for my daily driver. So im not interested in spending $900 to get my car painted.

I don't have any advice relevant to your questions, but I'd advise you to make sure the bodywork is flawless if you're going black, because ANY imperfection will be magnified.

ok i heard that maaco's single stage has the gloss/clearcoat already mixed in, so you don't get a clearcoat spray. Also, i suggest you do remove all panels and trim because they tend to spray a part of your trim/panels. . .

It can, but you'll have to be careful. You'll be taking paint off when you sand and polish it, and I'm not to positive Maaco lays paint down very thick. I'm gonna say you'll need 3+ coats of paint to be safe.
