Should I sell my civic?
I bought my 95 civic ex from a friend for 100 dollars, I had to piece it back together, so I finshed that and got it running but one day one of the rods went though the D16z6 block. My friend thinks I should sell it because putting in a new block is to much work, the paint job was done by the guy I bought it from, and the interior is gutted, those are about the only things I can think of right now. I don't have the money to buy a used car if I sell my civic, I have to put in my chevy 454ci, but I plan on putting a d15 block in my civic. Should I sell it or should I keep it.
Finding a used D series and swapping it in is easy. As it sits now, you wouldn't get maybe a few hundred. I buy a used D for around 400-500 and swap it in. That way you would be burning a huge hole in your pocket paying for gas for that 454.
X2 on the above responses. Buy a new D-Series long block(can be had cheap usually)and swap it in.
