Is it illegal for dealership to sell swapped civic w/o paperwork for swap?
A friend of mine bought a honda civic with a GSR motor from a somewhat shady dealership. He didnt know any better to ask for paper work...
he's had the car a few months and has had problems with it. He is wondering if it was legal for them to sell the car to him in the first place.
He suspects that it was an illegal swap, because a few people he knew that knows people that used to work there told him that they sell cars, and then have people resteal the cars, and then put the motor's in a different shell and resell that car.
Just wondering about the legal consequences and if he has a claim, because he wants to get his money back for the car.
