Default Tuning my own car and for mates...

Hallo everyone, Iam a member of Latvian Honda Club. Iam now reading up information about tuning etc, and planing to tune my own car, and then, for mates from Honda Club Latvia.

The question Iam intrested in is: what would be the best tuning hardware setup for me, as I want to tune my own car and my friend cars, it means, I wanna be able, to switch everything from one car to another as fast as possible, so I could go to dyno with my budies and dont waste time

I already know that I will need Ostrich, HULOG, chip burner, laptop <-- I will try to find some decent with serial port, it will be only for tuning, wideband <--- I think, this is the hard part.

Software... I will tune my own car first, of course, and for start I think I will be using Freelog & Crome free, so, then, when I will have more money I will buy Crome Pro.

Wideband... Iam looking forwards to LC-1 DB kit, but I also consider LM-1/LM-2, I just need good WB, with which it would be easy to swap from one car to another, and tune, without spending 1h on wiring... how you wire yours, and what you suggest for me?

P.S.
Note:

Only allows tuning one car (for more cars, contact us)
eCtune, how is it possible? how can they know if I tune only my car, sorry I dont understand this, maybe someone could explain it to me too

Thanks alot! Realy need info on this

lc-1 from innovate is fairly simple to wire and install but why be cheap just have your friend buy his own wideband

Only eCtune for dealers allows for chip burning.

Crome Gold is your best option for a low-cost tuning software with unlimited car licenses.

The best hardware is the Demon. It combines the functions of the Hulog and Ostrich, plus the addition of onboard datalogging. Crome Gold/eCtune/Neptune all support the Demon.

As much as I respected and enjoyed the use of my Crome license, I wouldn't recommend buying it to anyone anymore. It's fallen so far behind that it's not even in the same league as Neptune or eCtune. Plus support for Crome is listerally zero from the maker. The only support is from the users that offer free advice.

The Demon onboard datalogging is not a function of eCtune or Crome as of yet. AFAIK, Neptune is the only one that offers it right now.

as far as how it knows what car you're in, simple both Neptune and eCtune reside on the emulator only. (Dealer licenses allow chip burning but the license is a lot more)
Neptune is Demon only, eCtune is Ostrich or Demon.

The dealer package for NepTune allows Ostrich + Hulog, but the regular version is Demon only.

If you're interested in becoming a dealer I suggest checking the software out at www.hrtuning.com. It's free to check out, and if you like what it has to offer send me an email about becoming a dealer.

Yeah, but I need one for myself, and 220$ is good money for us in Latvia, so, there arent many who can afford it... I was just thinking to do this, and get some money from it back as far as I know, we got only one Honda tuner in Lativa, and he takes 160$ for street tune + 80$ if dyno. and for us in LV it is +/- big money, as I know, if it was USA, this costs for you were small so I think of taking 80$ for street tune + 70-80% if dyno, cause, that tuning with that guy is not affordable for many people, but there are +30% people who would want to tune their car if the costs would be lower IMO... so I think to take care of it

so, what is the difference between Pro and Gold? I can tune many cars with Pro too, why should I get Gold?

I would want to buy eCtune when I'll get some money back from my tuning... how much costs eCtune dealer?

And how it is, if I get eCtune Pro, I cannot burn bin to chip? I can RTP with ostrich?

If you're new to tuning start with Crome. I think Crome is a good start for all beginners.
