Tuning Help
I have a few questions about getting ready to tune my car. Ive purchased the ostrich, moates chip burner, crome pro and have the hulog for datalogging. I chipped my p28 and have the car up and idling. i have a general idea of the tuning process, and id like to do a little street tuning before i put the car on the dyno (for general experience so i don't have to figure this out on the dyno.)
so with the ostrich hooked up and as im datalogging, will i be able to update the .bin file without turning the car off? is that what is meant by tune on the fly?
as well, if the car has a tendency to sputter at higher rpms (above 5000 rpm). My plugs are gapped at .032, should i try to decrease the amount of gap? How do i know this isn't detonation im not feeling? i don't hear a ping, however, i just want to make sure its not detonating.
last question, ive been reading xenocrons start up guide and wanted to know if there was any more literature available that focuses more on the tuning portion (getting afr's throughout the powerband correct)
thanks

Re: Tuning Help (Panoply)
with the ostrich you are able to load the bin into the ecu while driving, without having to turn the car off or without a hiccup whatsoever. As for the rest of your tuning questions i suggest you check out pgmfi.org
