Default System for my new truck

Hey I need to ask a quick question for all of you installers, How the hell can I fit some sort of subs under the back seats of my 2003 silverado 4 door. I really dont care about the seats folding down anymore, but I would love to fit a pair of 12's in there some ware.

Also what subs would you recomend for that small of a space?

if you are not to concerned about alot of bass, you could look into the "thunder form" by MTX. you can get them with or without subs already in them and sometimes even with a built in amp. just a suggestion

If you are looking for competition I'd recomend stopping by a local installation store. If you want a really crazy system, I have seen a truck where they port your bed to the cab. so the put the subs in your bed and they port that into the car. You can also get a custom built box from a installation shop.

I'm not 100% sure on the Silverado, but for Ford F-150's they do make a kit to raise your rear seats a few inches...that could provide you some extra space for gear.

Small box woofers....first thing that comes to mind are IDQ's. 12" subs that get very low in 0.85 cubes each, and you could go as far as 0.6. I would think that a trio of 10's may work better then a pair of 12's.

Then again, this all depends on what you consider "competition" -- are you a boomer or an SQ person...two totally different animals.

Also, remember, fiberglass in this type of install is your friend!!
