about once a week or so when im driving my car will start bogging down
ex. doing about 60 on the freeway all of a sudden the car starts bogging like its miss-firing and is jerking . i have to smash the gas and then after a sec it feels like it overpowers the bog after that if i hold the pedal steady it will bog again i have to keep pushing hard and letting off to keep going

Sounds like possible O2 sensor. You need to do some checking of your own though... How are your plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fuel filter, yadda yaddda adyadyayfdyafyafyayf.... CHECK STUFF OUT!

 

Sounds like an electrical issue. It could be plenty of things. But i agree with the above post, you should check a few of the obvious things to check so you can eliminate the easy observations.

 

Is it happening after about 15 mins after warmup? Is it worse at mid RPM/mid throttle? If so, check your injectors. I had a hell of a time trying to figure out what was wrong with my car, turns out one of the little plastic screens that fit in the injectors had come out and was mashed up into the fuel rail.

 

Dang, I know exactly what you are talking...My car did this when the coolant ran out when i was 5miles from my house...I risked it and drove home...

The head overheated and the motor did exactly as you described.
I believe your issue would be the dizzy,plugs,sensors,injectors,bad fuel,plug wires, advancement-retardation timing,fuel filter,fuel pump, One of these might consist with your issue.
