Accord Wilwood Brake Kit and Possibly Others
Anybody know what wilwood (or other brands) big brake kit they use on their CD5? It is unlisted but I've seen a few with them (unless it is a mix and match).
Google doesn't help, Ksport and D2 are overkill and overly priced.
Cheers.

I know AEM made one at one time.
MuffinMan will come in here and tell you that you can upgrade the brakes using NSX parts and its a heck of alot cheaper and just as good.

I would do the wagon brakes upgrade. If you need parts its easy and cheap. Aftermarket big brake kits will cost a ton if you need one replacement part.
I would recommend TAS auto or buy them at your local auto shop.
Here is my big brake swap. Washers are the only thing I needed.

*high five*
Haha, seriously though. That was easily one of the best upgrades I did to my Accord - which is back up for sale
Wagon Rotors (1" larger)
V6 Brackets
NSX Calipers
Keeps it HoR but gives you an extreme amount of force. You can also do RoH conversions as well with the Prelude VTEC setup

Well, honestly
Slotted rotors aren't doing anything for you. Brembo Blanks are definitely sufficient.
The V6 calipers don't hold candle to the Legend (or better NSX) brakes. Upgrading your lines to stainless will help some pedal feel and help with the braking a touch.
Fresh fluid (like ATE Super Blue) will help out a lot
And those pads are *meh* you may want to look at some Bobcats or Hawks

I actually found the Brembo Sport Slotteds in stock replacement size to give an upgrade over "blanks".. I know there is less contact area but I feel like the pad has more bite with the slotteds... could just be my take but the price I got it for was a steal..
Hawk HPS pads are definitely my vote without a doubt
ATE SuperBlue fluid is the best value in fluids, Goodridge SS lines also help!
So my "basic" upgrade cost me about ~$300 in parts and I considered it worthwhile if you are on a tight budget..
If you got $ to spare NSX (or legend) calipers are definitely the way to go.. Larger rotors would also help.. entirely up to you if you want slotted or blanks but my vote is for the former
Gotta ask kccord, what rubber you running on your car cause you will pretty quickly realise your brakes are not the weak point but your tyres are....
Case in point me and my upgrade, just waiting to kill off the last life of my Sumitomo HTR's before moving up to probably Bridgestone RE960 Pole Positions...

i have an ex so i already have disc..just wonderin if anybody has done anything to the rears to keep the system balanced after a front upgrade
Question I have is would it be beneficial to change/upgrade the proportioning valve as well? I have a Non ABS chassis. I am doing the Ex rear disc swap as well as the Acura Legend BB upgrade.
So would it be better to use this proportioning valve (I4 w/drums) 46210-SV4-A01 or this one (V6 Ex Wagon rear disc) 46210-SV6-K00. My brain tells me to go with the V6 PV

Speaking of which, how much would you want for them shahriar and how did your upgrade eventually work out.. I remember muffin and myself giving you some nice tips when you did yours...

The EX/V6/Wagon also have a larger MC, not by much but it is larger, it would probably require a new brake booster (I never got around to checking those part numbers.)
So if you're doing it you may want to do the prop valve, MC, and check on the booster while you're at it.
I have a brand new set master cylinder which is badly needed on my car because of a leak, hopefully after that is install I should not have anymore issues with my brakes.
Im currently running some Enkei mm2 16" wheels with Hankook RS2 tires, 215/45/16 because of a close out.
I just need the master cylinder and we should be good to go.
I will let the calipers go for $85 local and $100 shipped.
Thanks

I have a 96 accord coupe 2.2 and was wondering if anyone knew of any good brake kits?? i like the idea of the wagon or NSX parts, if those are the best for your money can someone let me know what parts id need?
Take a look through the FAQ section at the top of the Accord forum. There are links to brake swaps in there and list all of the required parts. or you could visit TAS Auto's website and pick from one of their complete brake upgrade kits.
