keeping a/c with a b swap?
you just need this bracket from hasport

and to answer your question about how much to charge, just go to a place that does a/c recharging and ask them.

convert to r134a and it's much cheaper...kit and refrigerant is less than $60.
i would recommend using a newer b-series compressor made for r134a.
then you can use that bracket, and just have a hydraulics shop modify the hoses to fit your car

unless i'm mistaken, with that bracket you do not use the b series compressor but the d series compressor. also you use the factory a/c line, definitely not custom ones, because a friend of mine had his cr-x with a b series swap, used the hasport bracket, and used the stock a/c lines.
i could be wrong Deetz, but I thought the CRV bracket only worked in eg and ek chassis, not the ef, which is why companies like hasport and innovative make the adapter bracket for the ef and it is not compatible with the eg/ek chassis.

The crv bracket fits d series compressors. It does have a leg that sticks out a bit, but that can be just cut off and used in an EF chassis, after all, it just needs to bolt to the block

I used the PR3 bracket that comes with the swap
and modified it to fit my SANDEN brand compressor..
The front two compressor bolts line up but the rear two don't
so you have to fab up at the very least a third bolt..
NOTE: It won't work with the MATSUSHITA brand
and I used the Hasport engine mounts..
{ Other brands may yield different results..}
I also had to make a big dent in the front crossmember for the
compressor to clear..
As far as refrigerant,You can find R-12 on Craig's list all day long..

The Del sol / CRV brackets work with D Series AC compressors on B series block into Eg and EK. The EF D series compressor is a little different and needs either the Hasport EFAC bracket, or the Innovative EF AC Bracket. These brackets supposedly only work with SANDEN brand AC compressors for the EF as far as I have heard. I have not physically tried any others.
** EDIT: The Hasport AC bracket for the EF works with both Sanden AND Matsushita Compressors **

Check out the picture in the link you can see the dual bolt pattern for the compressors.
It's only the lower left bolt hole that is different between the two compressors and the stand-off for that one bolt is different too.

^^
That's true. Hasport's bracket works with both Matsu & Sanden compressors. Innovative's only works with Sanden. To be honest, with a B motor in the EF, we need as much room up front as we can, so the Sanden compressor seems to be the better choice.

Learned something new! I see where that fourth bolt has two optional locations . . . time to go update the site, I've been telling people with the Matsushita compressor that they can only run AC if they switch to a Sanden AC compressor..

i was saying to use the newer b-series compressor with b-series bracket, with custom hoses.
i believe it works better (colder) than a converted sanden. but whatever works!
